16. Suffering and God's Will
Summary: What is the cause of suffering? Jesus tells us that God is love, truth, compassion, … We know the cause of much suffering is due to human actions. But when an explanation escapes us, we might be led to say “it is God’s will”. God is never the cause of suffering. God doesn’t “punish” us for our disobedience but rather weeps. We aren’t punished for our sins by rather by it.
